Liliesleaf : Public Meeting – Declaration of Liliesleaf as a National Heritage Site

In a very historic development for our community – Liliesleaf has been identified to be a National Heritage Site.  Please diarise this meeting:

PUBLIC PARTICIPATION MEETING REGARDING THE DECLARATION OF LILIESLEAF FARM AS A NATIONAL HERITAGE SITE IN TERMS OF SECTION 27 OF THE NATIONAL HERITAGE RESOURCES ACT NO. 25 OF 1999

The South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA) is the statutory body mandated under the National Heritage Resources Act, Act No. 25 of 1999 to manage and protect heritage resources at a national level.

Part of this mandate is to identify places with qualities so exceptional that they are of special national significance and investigate the desirability of declaring such places as national heritage sites.

The LILIESLEAF FARM has been identified as having the potential to be such a site.

In this regard, SAHRA hereby invites all residents in Rivonia to a meeting to discuss the process towards the declaration of Liliesleaf on:
