  1. Hi David
Thanks for the transparency around this sum of donated money, it is long overdue.

It appears that the lack of light at the guard hut is leading to damage of the boom – can an alternative source of power be sourced for the lights that are already in place, instead of going through a drawn out exercise to augment or replace them?

    1. Hi Sally

Agreed, we have been in proactive discussions with various community members, but should have communicated to to the greater community to stop the speculation

One of the points discussed in my last meeting with Curro a couple of months when I asked for Curro to supply electricity to the boom area, was that they couldn’t do that due to health and safety regulations, however, they would consider assisting with a solar installation. However, it certainly appears that there was no handover with the new principal due to his sudden appointment. I’ll give the new guy a couple of weeks to settle and resume the merry fight.

      Regards

  2. Many thanks for the Curro “Donation” update.
    Very informative.
I can nly concur with WhatsApp gossip causing uproars and inaccuracies.
    WhatsApp must be used prudently.

    1. Thanks for your comments Colin.

It’s a pity that people just don’t do fact checking and post personal opinions which have no factual basis. Social media is a dangerous tool when used inappropriately, hence the reason why we centralise all pertinent information on the website so it doesn’t get lost in a jumble of WhatsApp rhetoric.

      Regards

      David
